Blue Cross is Canada’s top ranked health benefits provider
Results from the annual Leger’s 2020 reputation survey on Canada’s Top 100 Brands shows that Blue Cross customers recognize the Blue Cross® brand as the highest ranked healthcare benefits provider in Canada.
Leger is Canada’s largest market research and analytics company and they have been keeping a finger on the pulse of Canadian opinions for more than 30 years. For the past 20 years, they have conducted the Ledger Reputation survey, which looks at which brands are resonating and connecting with Canadians. Blue Cross ranks at number 71 overall, ahead of many of our direct competitors such as Manulife (76), Great West Life (106) and Sunlife (79). This is a remarkable honor and we are humbled by this endorsement.
Leger compiles their annual rankings based on six core pillars of corporate responsibility: financial strength, social responsibility, honesty and transparency, attachment, quality, and innovation.
Collectively, Blue Cross serves more than seven million Canadians. This ranking reflects the high level of trust that Canadians continue to place in the Blue Cross brand, which was also identified earlier this year by the Reader’s Digest most trusted brands of 2020. The Reader’s Digest survey tied Blue Cross in the number one spot under the health and dental category.
This recognition demonstrates the value of the products and services that Blue Cross delivers to Saskatchewan residents and Canadians across the country. It highlights the positive role Blue Cross plays in the lives of our customers, neighbors, and the communities in which we live, work and play.
Trust. It is something Blue Cross works very hard to earn from its customers. We will continue to work hard to earn that trust, with an ongoing commitment to improving the health and wellness of Saskatchewan residents and to continue to make things better for our customers and our communities.
Like our counterpart plans across Canada, Saskatchewan Blue Cross operates on a not-for-profit basis and is proud to stand behind our unwavering commitment to our members and the communities we serve.
Data collection for the Leger study was conducted from December 18, 2019, to February 4, 2020.
The Reader’s Digest survey was conducted from September 3-18, 2019, by market research company Ispos. A sample of 4,005 Canadians aged 18+ were interviewed, including 1,002 French-speaking respondents.
